Buoyancy of water

Buoyancy of water means the upthrust of water providing support for the weight of the body.

Although aquatic vertebrates animals such as whale, shark and dolphin have endoskeleton , their pectoral and pelvic girdle is very small and weak. Therefore their weight of the body are supported by buoyancy of water.

In the same case , aquatic invertebrates animals have either exoskeleton or  hydrostatic skeleton,  their weight of the body are supported by buoyancy of water.
